Evaluation Process

Application Evaluation Criteria:

Undergraduate GPA = 20%

Interview = 30%

ALES (Linguistics/Verbal) = 50% (minimum 55 points) (Candidates who apply to the non-thesis program can apply without an ALES score.)

General Principles about the Application of Non-Turkish Students:

  1. The applications of the participants are first checked by the International Program Office (IPO). The participants with missing documents are first reached by IPO, and when their application documents become completed, IPO sends these documents to the departments.
  2. The evaluation of the applications is made by the departments.
  3. The participants (including the participants who are placed by the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education regarding the agreements between the governments and cultural agreements) who do not ALES or GRE/GMAT documents (which are necessary for the application) can be accepted to the graduate programs conditionally regarding the recommendation of the departments and executive committee. These participants can enroll in upmost two classes by paying the tuition fee, however, the number of classes can be increased by the decision of the executive committee.
