You can find information on TEDU Migration Studies Master's program's application, interview, registration, procedure, and scholarship processes in the frequently asked questions section below.

Candidates who graduated from any Social Sciences field that provides four-year undergraduate education like Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Political Science and International Relations, Business and Administration, Statistics and Economics, Education departments, and the Faculty of Law can apply. The graduates of the exemplified departments above will be prioritized.

The application requirements below also need to be met:

  1.  To have at least a 2.50 / 4 undergraduate GPA,
  2.  To meet the English language proficiency criteria of TED University English Language School, please see.

If a valid language document is found during the application, it will be uploaded to the system. Candidates who do not have a valid language document will submit the valid language document during registration. Students who do not already have a certificate of English proficiency can take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) * to be held by TEDU English Language School.

       3.  ALES * To have at least 55 points from Linguistics/Verbal (The exams and equivalent scores specified in ANNEX 1 and declared by the Higher Education Council can be used instead of ALES.)

* ALES certificate is not required for the non-thesis program. In this case, the ALES score is taken as 70.

In addition, candidates, who are graduates of "Doctorate/proficiency in art/specialty in medicine/specialty in dentistry/expertise in veterinary medicine/specialty in pharmacy", are not required to submit their ALES scores in TED University Graduate Programs Institute. For these candidates, the ALES score is taken as 70.

Required Documents in Online Application for Turkish Rebuplic Citizen Candidates:

  1. An updated CV
  2. A copy of the ID card
  3. Undergraduate diploma or a student document (for the participants who are about to graduate).
  4. A scanned copy of the transcript from the most recent undergraduate program
  5. Military service report for male applicants
  6. Diploma Equivalency Certificate (for diplomas from abroad)
  7. Intention Letter (written in English)
  8. Scholarship Application Form for Graduate Students
  9. Letter of recommendation (not obligatory, participants or their references can deliver via email before the interviews)
  10. ALES Exam Report with a Linguistics/Verbal Score of at least 55 (or a document presenting the equivalent of ALES score such as GRE, ALES score is not required in the non-thesis program)

In addition, candidates, who are graduates of "Doctorate/proficiency in art/specialty in medicine/specialty in dentistry/expertise in veterinary medicine/specialty in pharmacy", are not required to submit their ALES scores in TED University Graduate Programs Institute. The required documents for international students:

English Language School Executive Committee will evaluate the conditions of the candidates who are citizens of the English-speaking countries or the candidates who lived in an English-speaking country in the last three years and got his/her high school education for three years in English.

If a valid language document is found, it will be uploaded to the system. Candidates who do not have a valid language document will submit the valid language document in the registration. Students who do not already have a certificate of English proficiency can take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) administered by TEDU English Language School.

 

Documents that are neither Turkish or English must be translated into one of these two languages ​​and uploaded to the system.

TEDU Migration Studies Master's program provides education in English.

Lectures in the TEDU Migration Studies Master's program take place between 18:00 and 21:00. Non-program undergraduate level elective courses will take place during the day.

Master's Program with Thesis was designed as four semesters. To graduate from the program:

  • 7 courses corresponding to a total of 21 (52.5 ECTS) credits,
  • 1 seminar course corresponding to 0 (7.5 ECTS) credits,
  • Master's Thesis (Thesis 1- 30 ECTS - Thesis 2 - 30 ECTS),
  • Finally, a total of 21 (120 ECTS) credits must be completed.

Non-thesis Master's Program was structured as three semesters. To graduate from the non-thesis program:

  • 10 courses corresponding to a total of 30 (75 ECTS) credits, and
  • Term Project (0 credit = 15 ECTS) must be successfully completed.

TEDU MIGS Master's Program with thesis is designed as 4 semesters*, and the non-thesis master's program is designed as 3 semesters.

*According to the Council of Higher Education's Graduate Education and Training Regulations, a Master's program with thesis may be completed in a maximum of 6 semesters.

We have tuition fee scholarship, merit-based scholarship, part-time work scholarship, employee scholarship, TED University Alumni Scholarship, TED Schools Alumni Scholarship, and dormitory scholarship. ALES and graduation grade point average are evaluated in order to benefit from the scholarship opportunities.
