At the international conference titled "Reimagining Refugee Protection: 75 Years and Forward," organized by TED University's Department of Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) and the Centre for Migration Studies (SCMR) at the University of Sussex in the UK, held at TED University from April 14-17, 2026, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Kezban Çelik, delivered the opening speech and moderated the keynote speech; the Head of the Migration Studies Master's Program, Dr. Aylin Çakıroğlu Çevik, delivered the opening speech and moderated the "Emerging Scholars" panel; and Dr. Hande Sözer participated with her presentation titled “Transformations of Neoliberal Migration Governance from “Anti-Politics Machine” to Anti-Policy and Anti-Project Machines: The Case of Syrian Refugees in Turkey in 2012-2026”. Violet Vural, one of our Migration Studies Master's students, hosted the opening speeches on the second day of the conference.
